The Rascal Company is still family owned and operated by Michael Flowers. With four generations of inventors and patent holders, The Rascal Company’s reputation is as enduring and dependable as its scooters.

1974
Francis Flowers, Sr. introduces the PedalPower electric bike motor to help people cope with high gasoline costs during the oil crisis in the 1970’s.
1976
Michael Flowers develops a complete line of ElectroPed® Electric Bikes and Adult Trikes.
1983
The Indoor/Outdoor Rascal Scooter is born and becomes the best selling electric scooter in the world.
1989
Michael Flowers invents the world’s first ConvertAble 2-in-1 vehicle. Our Rascal ConvertAble is the only scooter in the industry with a patented technology for interchangeable front sections.
1990
Electric Mobility expands operations internationally to include Canada and the
United Kingdom.
1998
The Rascal Powerchair with joystick drive receives the American Society on Aging’s Gold Award.
2003
Electric Mobility introduces The Rascal AutoGo®, the world’s first PowerFolding electric scooter.
2007
Electric Mobility Corporation becomes “The Rascal Company” in celebration of its popular brand of mobility products.
