To Serve Our Customers Better We Are Committed to Following These Business Policies and Practices:

  1. a. You may cancel your purchase within fourteen (14) days following your receipt of the complete order, provided the merchandise is in delivery condition.

    b. If you cancel the purchase of merchandise in accordance with section 1.a. above, you shall receive a full refund, including all initial shipping and handling, and shall not be charged a shipping or restocking fee upon return of merchandise in delivery condition.

  2. Your Purchase Agreement will disclose:
    a. The brand, model, and total price of each item of merchandise purchased.

    b. Whether the merchandise purchased is (i) new; or (ii) “refurbished/demonstration,” which means either refurbished merchandise or new merchandise that has been used as a demonstration unit.

  3. Installation of Travel Accessories is not included in the purchase price of any other merchandise and, if you wish to have the travel accessory installed by a service center, you will have to pay an installation fee which is set by the service center.

  4. a. The Rascal Company® makes no promises or guarantees that Medicare or any other insurance carrier will cover the purchase price of any merchandise.

    b. If Medicare applies, it will pay no more than 80% of the allowable amount as set forth for the state in which you reside. This amount will be disclosed to you before you purchase.

    c. Medicare and other insurance will not provide reimbursement if merchandise is delivered prior to your receipt of a prescription.

    d. You are responsible for any portion of the purchase price not covered by Medicare or any other insurance.

  5. If you purchased an accessory with your Rascal scooter or powerchair and it is not shipped with your Rascal, it will be shipped within 30 days of the date the order is received. If it cannot be shipped within 30 days, you have the option to cancel the entire order.

  6. Prior to signing the Purchase Agreement, The Rascal Company shall provide you with a copy of The Rascal Company’s applicable warranty.

  7. The Rascal Company shall provide an Operations Checklist at the time of delivery. This helpful checklist shows you the correct way to operate your Rascal vehicle.

  8. During the in-home evaluation, The Rascal Company shall provide you with the opportunity to physically lift and place the merchandise to be purchased in your motor vehicle, if applicable. If that merchandise is not available, The Rascal Company shall afford you that opportunity at the time the merchandise is delivered prior to the expiration of the fourteen (14) day cancellation period.

  9. If you request assistance with reading any portion of a sales document, a Mobility Consultant shall read, prior to obtaining your signature or order authorization, all other portions of the documents that are necessary to fully understand any representations made in the portion of the document that you requested to be read, and shall mark on each such document those portions of the document that The Rascal Company read to you.

  10. During the in-home evaluation, The Rascal Company shall provide you with a Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), Public Law 104-191, Consent, i.e. The Rascal Company’s Form E, which is the Authorization for Use and Disclosure of Information.
