Driving Your RascalCare should be taken when driving a Scooter or Power Chair during wet, slippery or icy conditions especially when driving on inclines. Make sure you read your owner's manual for specific warnings. We want your experience to be an enjoyable and SAFE one.
WEATHER PROOFING and STORAGEIf you will NOT be using your unit for an extended period of time, such as a month or longer, use the following guidelines to protect your unit and maintain battery life:
o Store the unit in a warm, dry place and NEVER leave it unprotected where it may be subjected to water damage.
o Make sure your plastic components are clean and dry before storage.
o Try to keep the unit in an area where it will not be bumped or damaged.
o Unplug the connectors at the batteries.
BATTERY CHARGINGo Charge the batteries fully prior to storing the unit.
o DO NOT overcharge or leave on continuous charge.
o Storage temperatures for BATTERIES should be between 32 degrees and 110 degrees F.
o REMEMBER - batteries lose their charge FASTER in cold weather.VERY COLD WEATHER may actually crack the battery housing, rendering the batteries useless. STORE IN WARM CONDITIONS.
o Charge Batteries at least ONCE per month.
